Lamborghini Gallardo – Initially the customer wanted to make the paintwork more hydrophobic meaning that the car repels rain and wash water. This was understandable, some of the before pictures show just how hydrophilic (water attracts to the surface) the surface was. The car was safe washed and decontaminated thoroughly and brought into the workshop to have all of the wheels removed, the insides were washed and decontaminated further. The wheels were then polished both inside and out and had a ceramic coating applied to the inside and out. The wheel arches were decontaminated and steam cleaned, the calipers and hubs were polished and ceramic coated, this gives the inside of the wheel a fresher, glossier and brighter appearance.
The paintwork was given a full inspection and correction, all plastic, rubbers and canvas hood were masked the prevent burning and staining in the polishing stages – Initially the paintwork was sanded and then gradually brought back to a better than factory finish and then finished with 2 coats of the best ceramic coating on the market. You can see from the before pictures what we were up against.
