DEALERSHIP PAINT ‘PROTECTION’ EXPLAINED

Buying a brand new car is an exciting experience for anyone lucky enough to do so. Most dealerships will offer the opportunity to have a ‘long life’ paint ‘protection’ added to the vehicle before you pick it up. In some cases they will claim that this ‘protection’ can last anywhere from 2 to 5 years, which to a certain extent is true. However, dealerships often apply the ‘protection’ after only a quick hand wash, which only serves to seal in any contamination that has been picked up from the vehicles journey to the dealership, as well as anything from the dealership itself where the car has sat eagerly awaiting a buyer. We recommend that you save yourself the expense (and the inevitable disappointment of the ‘protection’) and book your car into your local detailers to have the vehicle fully decontaminated, dried, machine polished (removing any and all defects) and finally ceramic coated. You’ll thank us in the long run!
